Heather holds a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University, in Santa Cruz, Ca. She became a Utah board certified acupuncturist in 2009.
Since 1996, Heather has been involved in the healthcare field in some way. She has worked with a variety of practitioners which has served to enhance her knowledge of Eastern and Western healing modalities. Heather draws from her extensive background, active and busy lifestyle and parenting experience to bring empathy, skills and wisdom to her patients.
Through interacting with and treating patients, Heather has come to the realization that acupuncture and Chinese medicine have so much more to offer than short term pain relief. These healing techniques have a unique ability to create balance in one’s life by improving sleep, lowering stress, improving digestion and boosting vitality. This is something she has witnessed in her own life and strives to help others create that as well.
Heather practices a blend of Chinese, Five Element acupuncture and 8 Extra Acupuncture, Mei Zen Cosmetic acupuncture, cupping and heat therapy, along with acupressure, Asian bodywork, massage, herbology and holistic nutrition. In addition, Heather is skilled in treating children, ranging from newborns to adolescents. She is trained in therapeutic techniques for children, including Tui Na, pediatric massage and acupressure. Heather focuses on treating the whole person, not just a set of symptoms, and has found a deep interest in body-mind connection. Heather’s mission is to provide the highest quality healthcare possible to you and your family so you can enjoy a sense of balance and unlimited well-being.
