Laura Schultz is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in the state of California. She began her career in health care in 2003 when she completed her Holistic Health Practitioner certification. For several years she practiced massage therapy, but always felt that there was more to learn in order to get to the core of deeper health problems. She then went on to complete her Master's Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. During her four years of study she became increasingly interested in women's health and pediatrics. While interning at Rady Children’s Hospital she saw the profound effect that the gentle use of acupuncture can have in the treatment of a wide range children’s ailments.
After graduating, she furthered her studies by completing an advanced course in Pediatrics and several trainings in Gynecological and Obstetrical Acupuncture. Throughout her own pregnancy, Laura used acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbs to alleviate the discomforts of morning sickness and to prepare her body for labor and birth. She has also used acupuncture and herbs to treat her own children through a variety of illnesses.
Laura’s vision is to help her patients regain and maintain health so that they are able to live the life that they envision for themselves. By utilizing her knowledge and skills as an acupuncturist and herbalist, and pulling from the vast richness of Traditional Chinese Medical history, she hopes to inspire her patients to incorporate healthy habits into their daily lives. By helping individuals rise to their greatest health potential, Laura hopes to make her community a happier and healthier place to live.
